YAG Laser Eye Surgery

Neodymium YAG Laser Surgery - Subsequent to cataract or certain other operations, aftereffects sometimes occur which interfere with vision. Two such aftereffects are clouding (opacification of the posterior capsule) and the development of scar tissue (synechiae) within the eye can occur. If your vision is impaired by either of these occurrences, Dr. Bucci will focus the laser beam on the opacified membrane or scars. There is no need to make an incision or cut into the eye when performing this procedure, therefore, there is no need for anesthetics.
