Alexandra Wasmanski, OD joined our practice in 2006. Previously she practiced at Vision Associates in Elkton and Havre de Grace Maryland, a multidisciplinary and multi-physician eye care facility. Dr. Wasmanski completed her undergraduate training at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and received her Doctor of Optometry at The Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Wasmanski completed clinical internships at The Lynch Pediatric Unit, Philadelphia; Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center, Philadelphia; Eye Care Specialists of NEPA, Kingston and Egle Butte Indian Hospital, Eagle Butte, SD. Dr. Wasmanski completed her residency training at the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV.
Dr. Wasmanski specializes in the treatment and management of ocular diseases of the anterior and posterior segments of the eye including glaucoma, dry eye disease, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts. She also performs routine medical eye exams, pre and post-operative care of laser refractive surgery, lensectomy refractive surgery and fits all types of contact lenses including spherical, astigmatism, bifocal, multifocal, gas permeable and hard to fit contact lenses. Dr. Wasmanski also has a very special interest in pediatric eye care and sees children as young as 6 months old. She is a proud participant in the Infant See Program.
